Every applicant must submit a detailed resume along with at least three professional references. This allows us to review your experience and credentials before beginning the interview process.

We start with a preliminary video interview to gain an understanding of your background, skills, and preferences. Following this, we conduct two additional interviews to explore your career goals further, job expectations, and personal interests. This help us identify the types of families and positions that will align best with your schedule, salary requirements, and professional aspirations.

Before we begin the family search, all candidates must sign a non-exclusive Nanny-Agency agreement. This agreement ensures the protection of your privacy and outlines the mutual expectations between you and the agency during the search process.

By conducting both reference checks and background screenings, District Sitter ensures that only the most qualified, reliable, and trustworthy candidates are matched with families. This process is part of our commitment to fostering safe, respectful, and successful relationships between nannies and families.

Once we have identified potential family matches, we coordinate and facilitate in-person interviews between you and the families. It’s important to us that you are given every opportunity to make an informed decision about whether the role and family are right for you.

To protect your interests throughout the negotiation process, we ask that you maintain open communication with District Sitter and provide us with feedback after each family interview. This feedback is essential for us to help you move forward in securing the best possible position.

In some cases, you may be invited to participate in paid trial days with a potential family. This allows both parties to ensure compatibility and assess whether the role is the right fit. District Sitter advocates on your behalf to ensure you are fairly compensated for any trial work you perform.

Once a successful match has been made, District Sitter will present you with a formal job offer. You will have the option to accept or decline the offer based on your evaluation of the role and family dynamics.
